FOR SCIENCE
THE ULTIMATE CROSSOVER STORY. SOMEONE MAKE THIS HAPPEN.
It’s back
Hey guys?
Heat Exhaustion Symptoms
- Confusion
- Dizziness
- Fainting
- Fatigue
- Headache
- Muscle cramps
- Nausea
- Pale skin
- Profuse sweating
- Sunken, dark eyes from dehydration
Do I need to remind you what he looked like during this entire scene?
He’s sweaty, his blood circulation isn’t working well due to vasoconstriction (namely, look at how pale his lips are,) and he’s got dark, sunken in eyes. Now we’ve got a point in which he trips and almost falls for some inexplicable reason. Well, let me ask you this.
How do you torture a frost giant?
With heat.
Whedon wouldn’t just put in clips like this for no reason. He’s trying to show us something. The Loki we see here in this scene is not a healthy Loki, it’s a Loki who is weak and pale and probably focused on just staying conscious—a Loki who has probably been tortured by Thanos into submission and then sent out to do his dirty work for him, that way Thanos will never get the blame. Loki is just the puppet in the grand master scheme of things. Thanos is using him.
The Loki we see in Thor is radically different from the Loki we see in The Avengers. Sure, post-Thor, Loki is emotionally unstable, and maybe a little nuts, but he wasn’t a murderer. The only reason he went after Jotunheim is because he was having identity issues. Murder wasn’t something that was normal in his repertoire, yet we see him doing it frequently in The Avengers. The Loki we see at the end of Thor doesn’t want to live, let alone take over an entire realm that he had no interest in before. Something drastic must have happened between the two movies to have made Loki have such a huge character change.
It’s said that Thanos caught/rescued Loki after he fell from the Bifrost. Well, what did he do after that? Thanos is known for having telepathic powers, and since he had to have caught Loki knowing who he was and how strong he was, he likely broke into Loki’s mind to find out all of his fears and weaknesses. And once he found out all of Loki’s darkest secrets, it was easy to break him. He and the Chitauri took the Loki we saw in Thor and tortured and corrupted him until he was warped into their own personal demigod, ready to do their bidding. Why do you think Loki spouts off all these quotes about how “Freedom is life’s great lie,” and “In the end, you will always kneel”? He’s projecting.
So, when he trips? That’s the aftershocks of torture. That’s a Loki, weakened and struggling to stay upright, pushing forward through the pain because, otherwise?
“You will long for something as sweet as pain.”
He has to keep going because the alternative isn’t a question.Reblogging this photoset again because OH MY WORD LOKI NO.
^ that response is why I’m reblogging

Hitler flirting with Eva Braun.
I don’t know how this makes me feel
It makes me feel very uncomfortable
You know what’s so uncomfortable about this? It shows that perhaps one of the most evil men in history, was a human being. That, on occasion, he could be nice, even flirty. That’s not all. You want to see evil people as evil, screaming horrible stuff over a desk with 20 microphones with 20, 000 people saluting them. The evil is clear and recognizable then. This shows a completely different image, it scares you because that means that evil isn’t a stereotype, that evil is not recognizable, that evil could be anyone. It scares you because this shows that could be lurking inside anyone and you’ll never ever know. Maybe in you?
i reblogged this literally like 2 minutes ago, but i want this version because of that comment ^
That comment is one of my favorite post commentaries, because it’s completely right. People aren’t inherently evil. Like good, it’s a role they grow and live into. We have just as much potential to destroy as this man exhibited. And it’s a very eye opening experience to realize that.
does anyone even remember that one time hitler attended that luncheon between world leaders, some guests of which even included china’s socialist leader as well as Stalin. And then when they were ordering, everyone was gladly ordering impressive dishes one after the other, but Hitler placed an order for barley tea and a pheasant (considered a peasant’s meal by standard). When he was questioned as to why he would order something like this in something as grand as a world leader’s congress, he replied,
“I don’t smoke when my people cannot smoke, and I cannot eat when my people are going hungry.”
He wasn’t evil for its own sake, let’s try to remember that despite the countless murders, but for a moment, he did actually believe he was doing something for the good of his countrymen.
WHAT IS WRONG WITH YOU PEOPLE
No, he’s right. Hitler, though extremely wrong in his views, did everything for what he thought would better the lives of his people. It was wrong. It was disgustingly, horribly wrong. But he did not do it because it was evil and he was evil. He did it because he believed it would help Germany and those who needed a better life. Those who don’t understand or even try to understand the human brain will always label men like him as ‘evil’ because it is easier to accept. But he wasn’t ‘evil.’ He felt love and loyalty and responsibilities. He simply took these aspects and morphed them into a twisted, violent thing.
Tumblr is probably the only place we could have this conversation and not be lynched.
oh my god reblogging if only for the last comment
this is literally the best thing on tumblr
Apart from feeling a little queasy about the gifset itself (being German especially) … I think that the story about the ‘world’s leader conference’ thing might be fake … Hitler was vehemently non-smoker as well as vegetarian … so to have him order pheasant … I cannot quite believe that and that he would not smoke … well duh, as a none smoker.
But can still understand the emotional impact these images have though … it IS terrifying to realize that the monsters are not always easy to detect …
*my two cents - end*I get all of the points listed here and I agree with them as well. Now, let me throw a wrench in your little party. This applies to modern day as well. That person who’s against marriage equality and is stalwartly Pro-Life is in most cases attempting to do what they think is best for society.
Think about that for a bit. I always think it’s a good idea to remind people that everyone is human, just like you.
^ Amen.
